This is an introductory guide to help you learn some words and phrases of Murrinhpatha, the main language spoken at Wadeye in the Northern Territory.

This Phrase Book has been produced by local Aboriginal people in Wadeye as part of the TRAAC Adult Education program, in collaboration with visiting linguists and community development workers. The project is managed and funded by the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations.
